    Traditionally, Earl Gray is a blend of black tea, with oil of bergamot, pressed from the peel of a citrus fruit, added to give it its characteristic fruity flavor. It is a light, refreshing tea with a citrus flavor. 

    There are several stories about how this tea got its name. What is common in all stories is that the tea is named after the second English Earl ("Earl" is the English word for Count") Grey, Charles Grey.
